Men are often discouraged from speaking about the issues that they face, even with their closest friends. Seeking help may be viewed as a “weakness,” leading men to be hesitant about seeking psychiatric help and find difficulty expressing emotions. Men may struggle

to verbalize or share their feelings with others, coupled with the ingrained belief that they should “man up” and deal with it themselves.
